What's To Come Special

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Parth and Trent tell the audience what the audience can expect for the rest of the year. Parth's fire alarm also goes off.

We are tonight's entertainment. You can't handle the true the fire risals pizza time. You're a wizard, Harry, so you know you think that's where you're breathing. Groovy, I don't have friends hing. Cora strews, part of your fire alarm is going off. Hold one exciting way keep keep this in the edit. Yeah, is it over now? It's like the nuclear bomb my skin. It's burning. Another nuclear bomb. I'm melting. Podcasting is...

...full of exciting technical difficulties. We literally just started recording. You're on fire. No, no, no, I did a few shrieks and screams while you were away. It was nuclear bomb. Ask. I'm glad you left. The listeners entertained my room. M chloe was cooking in the kitchen and there's not that much smoke, so I don't know what was going on there, but my fire alarm went off. Guys, these New Brunswick smoke detectors, I'm finding, are very sensitive, and one goes off and then, I guess, the others pick it up with the frequency and then they all go. Is that what just happened? I have no idea. What was the verdicts like? A tortilla or someone. What? What? What? What got burned? Nothing got burnt. That's why we're confused. There's not even that much smoke in the kitchen. Oh, what have you been eating? Was it also on fire? It was not. Most recently I had...

...some chips, Ahoy, cookies, drunk podsk yeah, while on break, um, in between class. What about you? I just Um, I made some shrimp, traded drows, frozen dumplings and some frozen Broccoli. Hey, Yo Ao. Indeed, sauce it up, spiced it up, ate it up, and then I just had some coffee because I'm about to go to class in fourteen minutes, and so the recording can only go for fourteen more minutes. Guys, we're just gonna cut right into it. Cue The intro. Hey, guys, welcome back to craft services, where we talk about the movies each if we talk about a film and hopefully have a cre...

...remember of that film to talk with us about their experience working on the picture. But Trent not doing that this week. Nor have we done that even remotely recently, because we're this is the jaws summer hangover. We concluded our discussion of the jaws franchise last week with our jaws, the revenge discussion, where Trent and I became inebriated and featured several guest appearances from previous Um friends and one future, or one, I guess, now current friend of the show, Sarah Broughtman. So she's been and welcome to that. Welcome to the craft services family. Your bath you're an engraved bathrobe, will be sent in the mail. But today we're doing a special episode, Um, basically just to discuss what it is we're going to be doing for then for the coming weeks. It's getting everyone up to speed, but also buying us to...

...time so you can fit into parts tidy little schedule to keep you entertained for the rest of the calendar year. Yeah, guys, Um we I contemplated doing a different kind of special episode, but I figured that right after doing what was essentially four special episodes, it might be nice to just have a quick, fifteen minute little, you know, rundown of what's going to be happening and because we're gonna have a lot of things happening, you know. Yeah, despite it feeling sometimes like we're spiraling out of control, it's crazy because the quality of guests continues to grow. It does. And Trent, do you want to announce what our next series is? I think given the time period of the year, it might be a little easy to guess. But yeah, it seems Halloween starts early this year for craft services because we're celebrating Halloween with Hollow Horror Mo movies, scary movies, three of them.

Yeah, so do you want me to say? Do we want to alternate? That's alternate. It's three exciting movies that I like and I want to talk about. IS THAT SO wrong? Oh, and three movies that came out this year and we're releasing them in the order that they were released exactly. So first up we have Thaye West's film x and we for that. We have the cinematographer, Elliott rocket, to talk with us. Yeah, big, big fish. and isn't it so crazy how quick the turnaround time is, given that Pearl is going to be out like maybe by the time that we released the episode on x? Uh, well, actually, I mean the movie will have been released just before we released this episode. It's coming out this Thursday, but it will be out around the same time and we knew about it before most other pop knew about it because he told us...

...about it and told us about it on air. Um, and the fact that they're doing a third one, I mean, but you're gonna have to hear about that in the interview. Yeah, so, Trent, what's what's next? The second movie will be covering. We should come up with the craftier name for it, but for now Halloween, horror month, whatever you wanted to be, it's gonna be Jordan Peel's. Nope, and we interviewed the production designer, Ruth de Young. Part you were there, I was. Would you say it was a good interview? Yeah, nope. Was An awesome movie. It was fresh on our minds. We had someone who was pretty involved. We asked him some cool questions, I think. Yeah, she was really nice. Um, was gave up a lot of other time. I think it's like an hour long interview. Um. And for all you Nolan heads out there, maybe we get into some oppenheimer talk. Maybe, but after that we're going to close out our um interviews with bodies,...

...bodies, bodies, the Helena rain film that just recently came out. This interview might be my favorite of the three. Like I like all three of them, but this one I feel like. Uh, we learned a lot because we've never interviewed someone of this nature before, and the reason for that is we talked with its composer, disaster piece, which is what he goes by with his name is rich Freeland, and he was also a very nice guy. Yeah, like he's down. He's composed the score for a lot of cool movies. We asked him a bunch of questions. Um, his music is super good. So and bodies, bodies, bodies, also super good. Yeah. Three. It's great that we had three horror movies come out this year that you and I both liked enough to talk about on pot. I mean, after jaws, to jaws, three D and jaws.

Or don't you think we deserve a bone from the universe? We deserve the Halloween series is maybe not the series the audience deserves, but it's the one that needs right now. And what do you think they need after that? Like when you're entering the holiday season and you need the holiday spirit, what do you think could get them in the mood when you're when you're entering the holiday spirit, holiday spirit generally, weirdly enough, seems to coalesce around another zone, the danger zone. How what do you think the best way to navigate to the dangerous phone movie? Do you think should I take the parkway or should I take the highway? What Trent? You should take the highway to the danger zone. and Um, I think, in so many words, it's Cruisi Palooza. It's CRUISI PALUSIC, guys. So we already...

...covered top gun, maverick, and no, we're not covering top gun. But Um, the danger zone is, I think, an apt description. It's inescapable, you're all in danger. It's an apt description of Tom Cruise's whole aura. And we're covering three Tom Cruise movies, but we're not going to reveal them just yet because we've done two out of the three interviews. The third one kind of ghosted us, Um, but we'll see. Sometimes, when life gives the elements, you make lemonade. So we'RE gonna we're gonna figure something out. The two we've done have been very good. YEA, and those are two of those. The ones we've done are going to be two part interviews. So cruiza Palooza is gonna be last quite a while and that's going to take us. It's alive and well. Yeah, it's gonna take us through the new year. Yeah, and and our third the third movies discussion will be on Christmas. Merry Christmas, craft services listeners. So, and happy Hanukah and a happy new year. Don't forget Kwanza don't...

...be don't ridiculous, and Happy Boxing Day, whatever you're, whatever, whoever you know. So, yeah, so we're gonna be covering, Um, x, then Nope, then bodies, bodies, bodies, and then three, as of yet, mystery mystery movies, yes, Um, Tom Cruise films, a mystery to us even. And then, well, only one. I mean we we have a good idea, though. All Right, Um, and then we're gonna have an end of year special, as we have for the last two years. And then it's next year. So we have here at craft services. We have everything planned out. This year is really fucking flown by. Yeah, and we recorded all but one of the interviews for the rest of the year this summer. Isn't that crazy? I know, I remember when these interviews were causing me a lot of stress, doing several of them within a week. But I'm glad we did it.

Looking aren't you glad we're not doing it now? Yeah, yeah, let's worry about that over winter break. Maybe we can. We can wait, we can be unemployed in stockpile. Content for the people. Well, we're the people's PODCAST, you know. Is that the reputation we've garnered? I like to think so. Um, okay, well, let's let the people go about their their day. And when we say the people, we mean let's get Trent to class, because he has class at and it's seven or seven and we're running out of time. Yeah, Um, wait, Trent, I know the fastest way to class. I should I take the highway. You should take the highway, but just be careful. It might go someplace you don't want to go to the Tom crew zone. I'M gonna talk about Tom crew use on our podcast. All right, we'll see you next...

...week. Guys. It's W ax rising out of wigsy night. She got jumping off the deck, shoving in the out of the joint in the tower. I'll take a lout hanging down.
